Love this whole idea of the church leaving the building. Will have to pass it along during one of our missions committee meetings!Cheryl Barkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15700429665500763372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-49104442863118779332010-11-12T09:26:24.493-05:002010-11-12T09:26:24.493-05:00Great summary Kelli. I'm not sure if there is any particular order of importance here, so I won't number them.
- Praise God through Worship
- Speaking with God through Prayer
- Listening to God by reading the Word, and through Prayer
- Doing God's work through Mission & Ministry

One thing I've learned in the last 4 years is that being a Christian means doing all of these. As somebody said to me - Fill Yourself with the Holy Spirit, share the overflow with others.Scott Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00405126847443749508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-13264464937889303172010-11-11T22:25:33.781-05:002010-11-11T22:25:33.781-05:00Ours is probably not the only church that bears a ...Ours is probably not the only church that bears a plaque over the door as you leave the Sanctuary saying "You are now entering the mission field."

It's so important to recognize that the church is not a building but a body. How wonderful for your body to have extended itself to so many! I would hope that these sparked efforts would continue. Oh, to know your God-given purpose and to have a place in which to use it!....

We are very mission-oriented. If anything, we could stand some clarity on what it means to worship! Perhaps if we were as you, breaking out of the church walls, we could more clearly see what worship truly is.

Great update on you guys! Now, I'm not saying Sunday services don't matter - they very much do. But, a quick reading of Acts reveals that those first-century apostles and disciples didn't spend much time "in" church. We ALL need to do more of this!Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17017322327511912945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-46092797705870464192010-11-11T16:07:30.580-05:002010-11-11T16:07:30.580-05:00How awesome.
