Many have bought into the lie that faith=no problems. But God is with us IN the fire.

The most important thing to remember about faith, for me, is that God is the author and the finisher of it. And I'm so grateful.Julie Gillieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043208077641628180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-4081181598538416922009-05-25T23:30:23.104-04:002009-05-25T23:30:23.104-04:00Love your teaching here; I especially see my faith...Love your teaching here; I especially see my faith as an "active" faith--a growing, WIP, that develops over the long haul. That "haul" is often fraught with difficulties; and while they wear me down at times, they seem to be more familiar to me than not.

As I head to bed, I'll head over to Philippians to read alongside you. In some small way, it makes me feel connected to the body of Christ as point #1 so aptly recognizes.

peace~elaineelaine @ peace for the journeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09675745465728814736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-39853134911296125342009-05-25T13:58:08.796-04:002009-05-25T13:58:08.796-04:00Great post Kelli.I guess I am one of those people ...Great post Kelli.I guess I am one of those people now who have to decided will I believe my faith and live by it or fall apart? I choose to stand by my belief that God is still caring about us and that I have to keep the trust that He knows what he is doing. Trials bring us to that crossroads where we are forced to choose, I think. If I say I believe, then I need to trust in it.Terri Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07771622379178654235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-74606268047513445152009-05-25T09:08:01.108-04:002009-05-25T09:08:01.108-04:00Philippians, undoubtedly, one of the best epistles...Philippians, undoubtedly, one of the best epistles for so much in so little space. (And chapter 2 is one of my personal favorites!)

What I love about your presentation is that you wrap it all around faith. We can pick through verse after verse and glean so much from each. But you have pulled it all together around faith, and that's cool!

I'm with Jody. I have taken in a lot of "good" things in the past year, and now that things are winding down, I realize (yet again, sadly!) that you can truly have too much "good" stuff--and that's not good! Discernment is very much an "in process" issue with me and God.

Now...will you do 10 ponderings on humility?Sue J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08668691234427771146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-24688375619708520502009-05-25T08:26:14.921-04:002009-05-25T08:26:14.921-04:00"Faith is not an attractive accessory that adds go..."Faith is not an attractive accessory that adds goodness to our lives. We should ask for the strength to carry the load God gives us. Then when we reach the ravine to cross into heaven the cross we carried will help us get there.
Blessings to all, and just ask for strength and not lighter loads.
Blessings and Love....PeggyPeggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16531332561138496420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5359970966501743019.post-16197026876271517382009-05-23T12:28:35.154-04:002009-05-23T12:28:35.154-04:00Kelli, that was an excellent post! I believe the times that are coming will strengthen the church tremendously, and we'll see some amazing things. I want to go back and read your post again and take notes. That is something important to carry with us throughout our lives. It is easy to get caught up in the outside world, but even easier to remember that we are as God made us!

Totally off the subject, kind of, but have you read "The Shack"? I loved it. It was a very different view point of God and our relationship with Him.

Anyway, thanks again :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
