It's Tuesday and time for another installment of What's on Your Mind '09 at Heart Reflections. Today Shane asked we share our anchor verse for 2009. I've seen others do this on their blogs, but have never selected a theme verse before. Thanks for the nudge, Shane.
Based on my recent posts on emptying and New Year's resolutions, my prayer for 2009 is boldness—to walk confidently on the path God's placed me and to grow where I'm planted. I feel God's blessed me with unique opportunities to influence others and spread His message. It's exciting, but my tendency, however, is to sit on the edge and enjoy the view. Sure it's a great view, but each of us needs to get up and get involved in whatever "it" is that God's put you in.
Therefore, my verse for 2009 is Isaiah 61:1:

Ooh...Kelli! This is beautiful! I too want to walk in boldness for the Lord. Thank you for sharing this.
How did you add the scripture to your picture?
Hugs,
Susan
What a powerful theme verse, Kelli. May God Himself empower you to live it out this year. I'll look forward to seeing what He is going to do through you!
Hi Kelli,
That has been one my favorite scriptures, and walking in boldness has been a journey I was on a couple of years ago. I have learned to conquer a lot of fears that held me down because the enemy kept me in his web of lies that my writing was not good enough to share. I was not a professional or seasoned writer, but the Lord kept speaking to my spirit saying, write from your heart, and those who read it, will read it from their hearts. And so I did and I had the bldness to share and I'm glad I did. Enjoy your journey of boldness and just know the best is yet to come !!!
Aloha Lorie
This verse really does sound like you--your walk so far, where you would like to go, your mission work with prisoners, specifically.
I only just posted a life verse on my blog because I kept telling people what a change I have experienced in studying the Bible due to my reading and owning that verse. (II Peter 1:3)
And now to see that in writing, and to let others see that in writing, really gives me focus and stands as a witness to others (and you can even go so far as to say accountability).
I like the picture add, too! Watch what God will do with your seeking....
One of my favorites! As my friend Pamela told me, don't be surprised as to the heights and depths that God will cause you rely on this verse this year.
Happy Wednesday to you. Another snow day over here...

Love the photo with the verse. Very inspirational! Keep it up!
Love the scripture! :)
It will be wonderful to see how He continues to flourish that Word in your heart!
Kelli, this is just wonderful. I pray that His Spirit will boldly empower you this year to bear fruit in ways far beyond your imagination.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the wonderful comment. You really encouraged me and I needed it today. Thank you for being a blessing.
My anchor verse tends to change with whatever season I'm going through.
Hi Kelli -
I will be praying for that boldness you so desire. The other day, I learned of another woman who lost her husband to suicide. For two years I know God has pressed upon my heart to write that book for the survivors of those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Your verse is a reminder of the purpose God has placed upon me. Please pray for the courage I need.
Blessings to you my friend!
Kelly
